Saif Ali Khan is now SAFE! Doctor confirms actor out of danger, on his path to recovery

Saif Ali Khan has been declared stable and is recovering well after a serious knife attack at his Bandra home. Dr. Nitin Dange, a neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital, provided an update on the actor’s health, revealing the details of his injuries and the surgical procedures performed.

According to Lilavati Hosiptal’s official statement, “Saif Ali Khan was admitted to the hospital at 2 am with an alleged history of assault by some unknown person.” He sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a knife that had lodged in his spine. The medical team acted swiftly, performing surgery to remove the knife and repair the leaking spinal fluid. In addition to the spinal injury, Saif suffered two deep wounds on his left hand and one on his neck, which were addressed by the plastic surgery team at the hospital.

Dr Dange confirmed, “He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger now.” This positive news comes as a relief to fans and the Bollywood community, who have been closely following the developments surrounding the actor’s condition since the shocking incident. Saif’s team has expressed gratitude for the support and concern from fans and well-wishers during this challenging time. As he continues to recover, there is hope for a swift return to health for the beloved actor.

What happened at Saif Ali Khan’s residence?

According to preliminary reports, an unidentified intruder entered Saif’s home at around 2:30 a.m. A scuffle ensued between the actor and the assailant, resulting in the injuries. At the time of the incident, Kareena, Taimur and Jeh were inside the house. Saif tried to save his family from the attack and got injured during the fight.  Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, confirmed that Khan sustained six stab wounds, with two classified as deep injuries. One of the deep wounds, located near his spine, required the involvement of a neurosurgeon.

The actor is now out of danger and his team recently shared an official statement thanking fans for praying. Before this, the actor’s team also shared a statement that read, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It’s a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation.”
